From 1943-1945 Holiday served in combat with the Fourth Marine Division during World War II. Throughout this time he served duties on the island of Roi Namur, Kwajalien, Tinian, Saipan and Iwo Jima.

Military historians note that during the first 48 hours of the invasions at Iwo Jima more than 800 coded messages were sent and received by Navajo radio units with 100 percent accuracy. The Navajo language was not recorded and almost impossible to learn.

It served as a code the Japanese failed to crack; a language that Holiday was told as a child not to speak because Navajo had nothing to offer.

He grew up near Monument Valley by a mountain known as Eagle Rock. His family, members of the Todich’inii or the Bitter Water Clan, herded sheep and lived according to Navajo traditions.

Brady Cervantes served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman and Scout Sniper and has been deployed to numerous locations throughout the world for permissive and non-permissive combat operations. Combat tours include two to the Al Anbar Province of Iraq and two to Afghanistan.

After the Military, Cervantes has been both a part-time and full-time instructor with several tactical training companies in Texas and the Southwestern United States. Currently operational in several locations both CONUS and OCONUS.

Cervantes recently started his own Backcountry Outdoors & Critical Skills Training Company called Level West Integral. The company specializes in The Backcountry of the World and all you can think to do in it, partnering with Outfitters, Guides, Ranches, and so forth. The company is also developing its own line of gear:

  • The Backcountry Gear, from your everyday wear to your extreme arctic conditions.
  • Critical Skills and Mission dependent gear.
  • LWI “B-TWEEN” GEAR – a combination of both that supports individuals’ need to either standout or blend in, or just the person who loves best of both worlds.

Level West Integral is based out of Texas and Montana currently and have locked on with Fly Fishing outfits in the coveted Madison River Valley, Gallatin National Forest, Yellowstone, Big Hole, Big Horn, and the “Mighty MO” Missouri River.

We are 100-percent fully committed to our brothers and sisters in the service and have confirmed with all present outfitter partners to be doing Veteran Backcountry Excursions (hunt/fish) through them with their help.
